Oscar-A-Thon Thursday

Well, I figured I would make another post so that any of you that have found your way to my page won't think I have forgotten about you.

I changed my hours at work(I go in much earlier now :() I hate getting up early in the morning. But the perk is that I get off earlier in the afternoon(About 3:30pm) so I can sort-of start seeing movies again. I used to see about 3 movies a week. I was looking through my ticket stubs and realized that I had only seen 1 movie in the theaters in almost a year.(It was "Hairspray") How most people really are into the superbowl(I am certainly not one of them) The Academy Awards are my superbowl.

I printed out the list of nominees Wednesday Jan 23. Starting Thursday Jan 24 to now Thursday Jan 31 I have seen 15 movies. I know, I am insane. But I really love seeing movies. Especially good movies. I have a movie review blog on rottentomatoes.com that I need to update badly.

Enough of the rambling for now. I am off to update my ipod for work tomorrow with my political podcasts.

My first post

Well, here it is, a blog. I have a movie blog that I have been seriously delinquent on writing in. Perhaps it is because I have not seen any movies in a really long time. Yep--that is exactly the reason. And since you just can't start rambling about absoltuely nothing on a movie blog, I figured that I would start on this one.

I have a good friend who has a blog on this site, I could never complete with him because he is brilliant. But I can try. :)

First, I will post a picture of my new toy. My Pretty green ipod nano-the perfect holiday present that I bought for myself. I have had it 2 weeks and have already put 900 songs on it. Mostly Broadway. I have also subscribed to several podcasts.

The ones that I have found completely make me laugh--the one called Make It So--obviously about Star Trek(my favorite subject) It is hosted by 2 British guys that had me laughing so hard at work that my co-workers thought I was going mental.

The next is 10th wonders the Heroes podcast. Very insightful, and they give lots of background on the actors and what they do on set. That makes it more fun to go back and watch now.

Well, the holidays are now over and I have to go back to work, that really stinks. I will have to deal with it though.

I am thinking that I will splurge this evening and order a pizza. And then I will write again another day.
